6 days fishing trip on Sudd Swamp

The Sudd Swamp is the second largest wetland in the world, second only to Pantanal of Brazil. It is found in the center of South Sudan and it starts from Mangalla in the south of country and stretch a distance of 500 km north to the town of Malakal. It is approximately
57,000 km2 and home to diversity of animals, over 400 species of birds and 70 species of fish. The types of fish found here are Tilapia, Nile Perch, African arowana, Nile carp, Tiger fish and many others. The Swamp can be accessed from Bor Town in the south of the country which is a distance of 210 km from Juba city. Bor is a bustling town with some best accommodations and river transportation. It is a nice place to stay while you go fishing in the Sudd Swamp and bird watching.

Day 1
Fly into Juba, where the BomaHills Tourism Team will pick you up at Juba International Airport and drive to the hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 2
After breakfast we head to the airport for 1 hour flight to Bor Town where you book in to your hotel before spending the rest of the afternoon exploring the town and meeting the locals.

Day 3
Take a boat ride into the Sudd swamp where you will spend the whole day fishing and bird watching before coming back to Bor Town for the night.

Day 4
Take a boat ride into the Swamp for another opportunity to fish and search for Hippos, Nile crocodile and elephants.

Day 5
Fly back to Juba where you will spend the afternoon fishing on in the River Nile or touring the Juba City.

Day 6
Fly out through Juba International Airport.
