This group tour to the Peak of Imatong Mountain is designed for travellers that want to join a group of hikers. This trip is for those that have limited resources to do the trip alone and want to share expenses with other willing hikers. With trip you get a chance to join a group of up to 10 hikers who most will be from different background and nationalities.. Imatong Mountains are in the south eastern part of South Sudan in the Eastern Equatoria State near the Ugandan boader. Imatong peak is the second highest in the country and can be access from the town of Katire which is about 5 hours drive from Juba City. Hiking this peak has become famous with both local and international tourist because of its scenic views. The mountain ranges also have many streams and waterfalls.

Day 1: Arrival to Juba City.

Arrive in Juba City where you check in to your hotel for the night. You will then spend the afternoon touring the city and rest at the riverside for the evening.

Day 2: Drive to Katire Town at the foot of Imatong Mountains.

You will depart in the morning for Katire town viaTorit where you will have your lunch. You will arrive late evening and spend the night at Imo Resort.

Day 3: Hike the Imatong Mountains.

You will depart early morning after breakfast and begin the 7/8 hour hike to the top of the mountain with the help of experience local tour guide and porters. You will camp for the night at the chief residence.

Day 4: Climb the peak of Imatong Mountain and Descend to Katire Town.

You will depart very early in the morning and begin your final ascend to the Peak of Imatong Mountain which will take 4 hrs. From 12 noon, you will begin your descend to Katire Town and spend the night at Imo Resort.

Day 5: Drive back to Juba City from Katire Town.

You will depart for Juba through Torit Town. You will arrive in Juba in the afternoon.

Day 6: Fly Home.
