6 Days tour of Fishing Tribes of Sudd Swamp

The Sudd Swamp is owned by many tribes from the East and West bank, the tribes that live along it from south to north are Mundari, Dinka, Nuer and Shilluk. These tribes fish along the swamp during the dry season and move to high grounds during the rainy season. For that reason you will find the fishing villages on many islands in the Sudd Swamp of which some are manmade. They also take their cattle into the swamp for greener pastures during the dry season. Most of these islands have been inhabited by different generations of the same tribes and clans . This tour of the fishing tribes of Sudd swamp will take you to clans of Mundari and Dinka who inhabit the section of the swamp from Mangala to Bor Town.

Day 1: Arrive in Juba City and drive to Mangala town.
Arrival in Juba City, where our team will pick you up at Juba International Airport and drive to Mangala town where you to will sail to one of the Mundari fishing villages. You will camp on the fishing island with the fishermen.

Day 2: Full day of touring the Mundari fishing villages.
After breakfast at (7am), you will begin the tour of the fishing villages of Mundari tribe in the nearby islands and spend the whole day with them. On your way back to the camp, you will have time to bird watch and spot other animals.

Day 3: Drive to Bor town.
In morning after breakfast , you will take a boat to Mangala town and then drive to Bor Town. From there, you will take a boat and explore the island of Dinka tribe. We will set up our camp for the night there.

Day 4: Full day of touring the Dinkafishing villages.
In morning after breakfast at (7am), you will begin the tour of the fishing villages of Dinkatribe in the nearby islands and spend the whole day with them. On your way back to the camp, you will spend time to bird watching and spotting other animals.

Day 5: Drive back to Juba City.
At around 10 am, you will take a boat ride back to Bor town where you will have lunch and thereafter drive back to Juba.

Day 6: Fly home.
