This 5 days tour of Sudd swamp will take you to Bor Town which is a 3 hours’ drive north of Juba City, where you will spend 3 nights exploring the swamp and doing recreational fishing. You will camp on one of the many islands in the Sudd Swamp and every morning you will take a boat ride to explore the nearby lakes and tribes. The swamp is home to many animals, fish and bird species.
This tour will give you an opportunity to bird watch, fish on Sudd Swamp and visit the fishing villages around.
Day 1: Arrival in Juba and Drive to Bor Town.
Arrive at 10 am where you get picked up from the airport and drive for around 3 hours to Bor Town. Once there you will relax at Park Palace Hotel for some refreshments and then take a boat ride to the island where you will camp.
Day 2: Full day of fishing and Bird watching.
After breakfast around 6am, you will go fishing in the nearby waters for around 5 to 6 hrs. You will return to the Island for lunch at 12 noon and rest. From 2 pm, you will go fishing again till 5 pm where you willreturn to the Islandfor some bird watching.
Day 3: Full day of fishing or visiting fishing villages.
After breakfast (6am), you will go fishing to a different fishing area and come back for lunch. You will spend your afternoon visiting the fishing villages along the Nile. You can also spend the afternoon solely to spot the hippos, crocs and different bird species.
Day 4: Drive back to Juba.
At about 9 am, you will take a boat ride back to Bor town where you will have lunch and then drive back to Juba.
Day 5: Fly Home.
