South Sudan is made up of 64 tribes that inhabits all corners of the country. They speak many languages but the Dinka, Nuer, Shilluk and Bari are widely spoken as they are the largest tribes in the country. Some tribes are known to be cattle keepers while others as farmers.
Since the separation South Sudan from old Sudan the majority of the ethnic groups in the country are of African heritage that are either Christians or traditional African religion. There are still minority of people who are of Arab background and practice Islam.
