Wildlife Migration and Safaris

South Sudan wildlife safari was on the rise in the 70s until the war of independence interrupted it for 3 decades from 1983 but now it is picking up. South Sudan is arguably home to one of the largest animal migration in the world. This migration normally happens during the dry and rainy season when animals run towards the Sudd Swamp and other water catchment areas in Jonglei and Central Equatoria States looking for water then leave to toward the boarder of Ethiopia when the rainy season starts. It is believed by scientist that South Sudan is the last place in Africa that still have the northern white rhinos which are on the brink of extinction.

In the past few years places like Nimule National Park and Anyidi game reserve have seen rise in tourism activities notable the due to their proximity to the capital city. The other famous National Park (Boma, Shambe and Bandigilo) that are home to the largest animal migration are also welcoming tourist for safaris.  South Sudan Wildlife safari is slowly making a name in the East Africa safari industry even though coming out of years of war and conflict. Make history by becoming the first few to visit these parks.
